kinda starting to slow down with this one... saw a review that said if kvothe was a woman he'd be relentlessly called a mary sue and that shifted my whole perspective lmao.

also on a 2nd read, the way kvothe's dad talks to his mom makes me so uncomfy UH OH. i know it's ironic but my original reason for dnf'ing this book was because of some stuff i saw about how the author talked about women unironically so.... idk
