Yeah, I'm struggling with them honestly. Most of them could easily have been incorporated into the main text instead of a footnote, so it's just an annoying and unnecessary distraction from the main text.

I'm at 36% (on my phone kindle app, which is sometimes a bit off from my actual kindle, but somewhere around there) and we're up to footnotes 106 and 107 on this page.

>_<

Becky And 3 more on the very next page. SIGH.

Oh yikes! That is a lot! 😬 I also find them distracting, I prefer nice neat paragraph flow. I find my eyes darting about during reading headache inducing. I may have to give this a miss! It’s a shame because it sounds so good!

Becky There's an audiobook version, that might work better? It really feels a lot like a podcast structure, but instead of spoken asides and jokes and references and parentheticals, they stuck them in footnotes.

I wish I could get on with audiobooks but I get too distracted just listening, I need the focus of the actual words to stay tuned in. I might still try this, maybe a slow pace would suit me.

Becky I never just listen. My ADHD brain won't let me do that either. I have to do something else at the same time. Walking, driving, dishes, playing a game on my phone, knitting, etc. :D
