This reader is a bit much for my tastes but god what a difference in the writing quality between this book and my last read.

Dammit. New plan. I can’t read another Margo(t) main character yet. This is probably why people read descriptions.

This has to be better than the last book I read. It can’t possibly be worse. I need a palate cleanser after that hot mess!

The plot resolved 30% ago. HOW IS THERE STILL NEARLY A QUARTER OF BOOK LEFT??

Not even officially halfway and I’m at 202 notes on my kindle. It’s actually getting bogged down and laggy. This may be a record.

Just picked this up again after a late dinner and reread the last paragraph and my flabbers are once again gasted because WHAT EVEN IS THIS PARAGRAPH? Did nobody NOBODY catch this??!

I literally cannot with the narrative inconsistencies in this book.

This book is wild for all the wrong reasons. My note/highlight count is up to 92. And I’m reusing some for additional thoughts. I’m just over a quarter into the book. 😬

She should see a doctor about her erratic heart rate condition.

This is the oddest writing style/narrative choice combination I’ve read in a LONG time. Why is this MC behaving this way? What “mystery” is she all worked up about? Why do I have more kindle notes than % read?

This is already not doing much for me. Between the first person present POV (HATE IT), and the MC pacing, gnawing on a pencil, and having her anxiety spike her heart rate because she couldn’t get any Google results about the previous owners of her house (WHY?)… I’m not feeling it. Maybe it’ll improve?

Well. This certainly was a book that was written.

Yeah Manuscript sounds like my nightmare. I don’t like their vibe at all. No thank you!
