Ah! That last chapter drove me crazy! I get that Jack is supposed to be a man of few words, but by illustrating this by having 90% of his sentences be 2-3 words long makes him sound dumb when he talks for more then 3 sentences. Here it was for three pages. Once I stopped myself from pausing at each period and reading through them as one long sentence it was much better.
