Wonderful read. Steinbeck captures the American spirit in a manner I feel close to home. Perhaps we share a similar nature, as he suggests. For, we see people and culture in similar ways. Regardless, he reminds me of the things I love and hate about Americans. It is my home, and these are my people. I highly recommend the read.
