How is it possible that a YA romance is blowing every other romance I read out of the water in terms of banter?

Is it because that smut can't get in the way due to it being marketed as YA and there's time to let a relationship develop because the story isn't rushing to spicy scenes?

If I can be so bold as to use YA vernacular, are the gooners ruining Roamance Lit???
