The first time It has any dialogue after it speaks to Georgie in the beginning is the library scene with Ben, right? I'm going to have to reread that bit, very cool decision to not give any additional dialogue to the clown itself until halfway through the book

Is some of his writing cheesy? Sure. But the man can write a pov like no one else. Love that we only see Pennywise once (so far), we feel the terror the adults feel remembering...something, and then the flashbacks start...

They didn't include the library scene in the movies, but it's in the TV shorts, I really need to watch those without comparing them to the movies

And...this book is a great example of "learning about an important main character through what others have to say about him/others' opinions only" and it's probably my most loved trope.
