Also both monsters and just people. Cool how the hunters were the scariest thing in a book of monsters. The tricky illusion shell game at the end was pretty cool. I quite liked too how Dymitr kind of grew on Baba Yaga, that even she recognised he’s just a genuinely good person. It was definitely left open to more and I really hope there is a 3rd book because I love these characters.

I enjoyed this. It was a very good sequel to the 1st one. I liked the development of all the characters and the development is f their relationships to each other. I really liked the growing sibling bond between Dymitr and Ala, I think that might’ve been my favourite part. It was interesting too to see more of Dymitrs family, to see the human side behind the hunter, which is I guess the whole point, that they are
