Part V (About the differences between USA Civil War and other American civil wars) and Part VI (North, Central, and South America before, during, and after WWI) are some of the best parts of the book so far.

Part IV about early internal relations between North, Central, and South America during the nineteenth century was really good! Author is redeeming himself.

Finding Part II about the English just as boring. I am going to skip to next part. I am very close to ditching this book and marking it DNF. So disappointing.

Began Part II: The English

I found “Part I: To Begin to Wonder - The Spanish” so dull. I could not finish. This, after getting through four chapters (8% of total book) I skipped ahead to Part II: The English. I personally find Spanish history uninteresting.

I am having a REALLY hard time with this book.
