this is still a potential dnf, but my indecisiveness re what to start next has given it a slight reprieve.

I think (part of) the problem is, Uncharles' constant denial of self, of wanting anything makes it very hard to give a shit about him.

Also the fact I know I could read an entire (and more entertaining) m/m or light mystery type book in less time than it will take me to read the rest of this...

Not sure how far I'll make it, the opening was overly repetitive and far wordier than necessary to make the point he was trying to establish, but it is kinda funny...
