Jeff and I once accidentally locked Jon Ronson in the back of our car because our child locks were still on. He was very nice and did not shame us. One of my favorite anecdotes!

That is awesome. What is the context?

He was a speaker at a Humanities North Dakota event in Bismarck while I was on the board. Jeff and I often volunteered to shuttle speakers round from the airport and to the weekend's events, so we got the chance to meet a lot of cool people.

Jon was so funny in the back of our car because he has a soft British accent. "Excuse me, I seem to be locked in?" A very polite captive!
