Life has been so chaotic and sitting down to try and read something has been near impossible. I’m just really hoping I can finish this one soon because it’s given me so much to think about. So so so much to think about, I’ve never read such a rich and detailed account of Anne Boleyn’s fall, it’s a shame people hear the name Alison Weir and assume all of her books are bad.

The details surrounding Anne Boleyn’s downfall is rarely discussed openly and in detail. Especially in the wider Tudor community and I feel that’s in part due to because we know she was innocent of what she was accused of. Once you look at the evidence it becomes increasingly clear that Henry VIII didn’t plan or have any hand in her downfall, it was Cromwell.
