Ok, I could have forgotten or missed Sasha's backstory, but as it stands right now, I find it a bit weird and slightly anti-semitic that the Jewish guy in Denver has a Brooklyn accent. Or maybe an accent out of a 1920s mob.

The word you're looking for is "conference". "Conferral" means something different.

On the one hand, this feels super goofy. On the other, it's kind of exactly like the Fear Street movies, just a fun possession/haunting story.

Mm. I can see why this has gotten a very mid rating here.
