Matey is the pirate declaration that’s as good as marriage? It sounds so stupid 😩 it’s something we used to say when playing pirates as kids (yo ho matey)….

Ugh, I’m so disappointed by this book. The premise seemed really cool but the execution is a fail for me. Nothing is clear, the writing doesn’t flow and it has the overdone “I can’t love anyone” person falls in love with the “needs praise from everyone and is very innocent”person.

Snow stayed out on the porch? She would be asking the sea witch ?s or Morgens eyes might dart to her but I looked back & it wasn’t explicitly stated. Most of the characters movements are left up to interpretation and I think that is one of the reason I am struggling so much. I picture one thing b/c nothing specific is stated but then something contradictory to what I pictured is said and I have to go back

It’s finally explained that Cosette is the sea witch, but who is Ronan?! I don’t like the way this book introduces plot important names

It’s a small thing but I like that it’s the moon goddess, it just makes sense since women have phases just like the moon and sum total they are both the same length.

Finally put my finger on it. I don’t like romances where there isn’t anything beyond physical attraction at first and one of the parties or warring with themselves over being emotionally unavailable

The writing doesn’t flow well for me. Maybe it’s different and there are more page breaks in the physical books, but this chapter is rapid fire moving locations on the ship and I keep having to re read things. It feels like there isn’t time to breath and just let the words be
