The story is okay so far, but I don't like the author's writing style. She uses too many metaphors/similes to describe the setting. Detail usually enhances the story but it doesn't for this book. Example of a bad metaphor: "it looked like it would collapse if anything other than a steak dinner crossed it".

It's boring and the writing style is childish I'm waiting for the murder investigation to start so hopefully it'll get better
