I watched the movie when I was a little girl and I was looking for positive books for my mother who has dementia to listen to us read to her. I thought this book would be perfect. I love it! It has brightened my day when I read and I think I have a new favorite classic chapter book to add to my reading list.

I grew up on the movie too and love this book so much. I am glad you are loving it. I recommend it often! The second book is also very good!!
