WOW.

My only real criticism of this book right now is that most chapters end with a blank page on both sides
Maybe it’s the environmentalist in me but I’m not a fan of that.
I understand the literary device of it but there are plenty of chapters that don’t need that dramatic pause of the double sided blank pages, that’s all I’m gonna say …

“It was always incredible to me that so many people felt so comfortable talking about my body.. Whether it was strangers in the media or within my own family, people seemed to experience my body as public property: something they could police, control, criticize, or use as a weapon. My body was strong enough to carry two children and agile enough to execute every choreographed move perfectly onstage.“

So far the personal insight to the misogyny of stardom is so fascinating
