in my last update i said i didn’t like the narrator at all and apparently the author is the narrator this is so embarrassing

the prose is sometimes incredible and beautiful but other times the constant pauses and artsy commas drive me crazy and it feels like an extended rupi kaur poem. “he gave me first my first pizza bagel and what else was I supposed to do but follow him?”

this is how you lose the time war is a book that has beautiful prose and still moves the plot along in a meaningful way
