Im so teary eyed reading this book. At the same time im laughing because of the genuineness of marin and Mabel’s friendship. Because of Marin’s honesty on how she’s not sure how she’s dealing with all that she’s lost.

I feel so bad for Marin, she feels betrayed but has also lost her only connection to her past, to her mom, to her family, to who she is as a person. I understand her regrets too. How she wishes she could’ve done things differently. How even if she could’ve that might’ve not made a difference.
