Having just read ''The Strength of the Few'', ''Empire of the Dawn'' and now this, I am beyond annoyed by the clumsy recap/info dumping everyone seems to love doing. Stop having characters explain obvious things to each other for the reader's sake. Just add a detailed summary before the beginning of the book.

While I'm overall mixed on the book, I will say that it the flashback section is by far the worst part of the whole book. That whole 20 chapter section could have been summed up in like 500 words.

It does get much much better, then worse, then better again
I might just power through tomorrow or put it aside for King Sorrow. Haven't decided yet.
Don't blame you, to be honest Suneater has been a bit like that for me throught the whole series. If I wasn't on the very last book of the series I probably wouldnt have read it. I think it's the best in the series but also has some of the worst parts of the series
