The rest of the book better be damn good to make up for this messy flashback section.

Having just read ''The Strength of the Few'', ''Empire of the Dawn'' and now this, I am beyond annoyed by the clumsy recap/info dumping everyone seems to love doing. Stop having characters explain obvious things to each other for the reader's sake. Just add a detailed summary before the beginning of the book.
