Can she just listen to Poppy and Terra? Everything Island is doing in this book is pmo! Hear them out at least? This book has been interesting to see her decent into being a crazy untrusting murderous gal that craves power and blood but also is being so weird about using it idk. I think once again she needs some therapy and to focus on finding out about her parents and powers. Also poor Oro, and Grim is so romantic

When the snakes went to her in the mirror I was like oh yeah I’m locked but here we fucking are good job- I will say I DID say look into your parents etc. So I mean ancestor that counts as me still pushing her in the right direction. And she finally used Oro’s fucking truth powers for a made up issue she could’ve sorted out immediately in the book with said power smh

I love how Aster keeps the motif of Isla hating the cold when Grim is “cold”. It’s just interesting and one of those things with her subconscious that keeps you remembering Oro even as she spends this book with Grim. I think she’ll end with Grim for sure, most of all 3 books focused on them, except first part of Nightbane. Also goodness Grim the man you are that was fwicken hawt okay 😛

Ok, again, if u just use Oro’s flair you can find the traitor? Like? “Not worth the risk” I don’t like this no-power plot line at all. It’s stupid and doesn’t like really make sense? If it’s a set prophecy then she’ll do it powers or not- book 1 showed us she’s just as capable without them. Doesn’t rly make sense for her character to relinquish power too after a life without it. Annoyed 😒
