A bit dull so far tbh, lots of cliches about the Great Depression. The writing style is overly simplistic to me, kinda reads as a book intended for kids. The premise behind the book is interesting though so I will keep reading it.

The writer was a newspaper columnist so I think his writing style would fit better with that than a longer biography
