Now, Mr. Peter Beagle, what do you mean you consider Something Rich and Strange as Patricia McKillip’s take on Tam Lin????? “Take” singular???? I agree that SR&S has the mark of a Tam Lin story, but I think if there is a definitive McKillip take on Tam Lin, it’s her actual, full-blooded Tam Lin retelling! How do I get Peter Beagle to read Winter Rose, because I’m assuming he hadn’t by 2016.

I think when one is reading a short story collection, they would not expect half of it to actually just be a standalone novel. Now do I count myself as having read both this book and Something Rich and Strange? Or just this one?
