Imagine, it's 1994 and Disney is a big thing. You're 16, so just past that point of childhood but this is prior to the internet beings big thing and smart phones are a sci-fi fantasy device. "Gargoyles" begins to play and this is romantasy, no questions asked, and the angst and yearning is intense. 1/?

Both of these characters have issues and there needs to be more environment. Just her apartment or the museum is boring. It is this far in and finally the pop is plotting again.

Yes, yes. Slow but not glossing over the possible dynamics of an ancient, magical, stone-cursed "gargoyle" existing in modern San Francisco. Maybe more could have happened or the pace could have picked up around 15%-20%, but it's not bad. The writing isn't amateur and once the pacing pucks up I believe it will get even better.

Fast forward to 2025, 30 years later, and this book comes up on a recommendation list... How, I ask you, am I supposed to deny the chemical-emotional pull of a fated mate, epic yearn, frozen hero, GARGOYLE romance that is written well? I'm not. Cut, copy, print. I am invested, I am ensconced, and I am entertained. No notes even these few chapters in and I already know I will be finishing 2025 with these characters.
