“She isn’t …?” Albion whispered.
“It cannot be,” Chora said.
“Stop her!” Critias gasped.
“It’s too late.” Ander sounded almost thrilled.

“Mr. Boudreaux, my name is Ander. I’m a … friend of Eureka’s.” He
flashed her a small smile, as if, despite everything, he liked saying that.
She wanted to jump into his arms.

“I have watched you since you were born, but you never saw me. I’ve been with you every day for the past seventeen years. I watched you learn to walk, to tie your shoes,”—he swallowed—“to kiss.” Ander reached for her, held her close to him. “I was so desperately in love with you, I couldn’t handle it anymore. I drove into your car at that stop sign. I needed you to see me."

it's certainly not as bad as people say it is so far, but i have noticed im over 200 pages in, 50% of the way through, and almost nothing has really happened in terms of plot progression. ander's been stalking her since chapter 1, she's been going to school and complaining about literally everything, and brooks has just had a personality change after going to the beach. thats it really other than waiting for the book
