I really thought I was going to love this but I just am so damn bored. I find the world building to be clunky and weak. I'm not invested in our characters at all. I keep putting it down as soon as I pick it up. I think now is not the time for this book in my life, will try again next year.

I'm not really loving this so far. I find the writing to be weak. the the plot boring

just had the history of the world revealed to us through a child telling her version of it to our main character. idk how I feel bout this blatant telling rather than showing or at least in an interesting way. example of weak world building and writing.
