I wasn't even going to admit to reading this....... but I need fans of this book to tell me that 'm going to be alright, and it's worth it, and hold my hand, because i'm so traumatized from my hatred of ACOTAR, that m/f fantasy is literally ruined. I feel this book could go well, but the first 20% has been so... not compelling??? SEND HALP I WANT TO LOVE IT HERE 😭

ACOTAR has nothing on The Cruel Prince. Jude is an actual badass (and a lil bit of a dumbass at times)

This is YA! I did love this, but I do love YA 😅My fave mostly m/f fantasy is Lady of Darkness and The Book of Azrael. FMCs in those books are so good!!

I push through!!! I think it's about to get more interesting? I think some people have fucked her up with some fairy fruits... so we will see what happens hahahahah.

I do love me some YA also! And my frined asked me to buddy read this and seen as I never read m/f I thought i'd give it a try!! hahahah. Hopefully I get into it MORE SOON!

ACOTAR being the book to ruin m/f romance is such a cannon experience, it was the first book that legitimately put me off reading it ever again 😭 i do remember loving cruel prince so i can say it must be better than ACOTAR but then again, it's not a very high bar to beat...
This is nothing like ACOTAR coming from a fellow hater of that series as wellThis is more of a fantasy with the romance being a subplot and it only really comes into play in the third book
This is one of my favorite series, I really hope you enjoy it ♡♡♡

This series seems to be divisive. It’s definitely something you just sit with and experience. It’s slow but that’s not a bad thing for me. It DEVELOPES. But I’ve always loved Holly Blacks fairies books since Spiderwick. And I love her world.
