It's hard for a reader not to become a fan of the Jose Saramago, since we feel like the book talking directly to us. Maybe i am being naive, but iam astonished at the ease with which words are being played around by the author.

This style of writing is completely new to me. The plot is really simple so far, the presentation is absolutely sublime. Reading each page has been an aesthetic experience.
