Really having mixed feelings about this. After Ariadne helped Theseus and he left her on Naxos, she's become a spectator rather than an actual participant in her story. Within the constraints of the myths I think she could still have agency but in this book she really doesn't.

I don't think a woman in Ancient Greece, especially the wife of a god would be horrified by animal sacrifices. I get why she didn't like innocent Athenians being fed to the Minotaur bc that was needlessly cruel. But animals... Idk it rubs me the wrong way. With so little left I'm trying to figure out how this will end. Ariadne becomes a goddess so does love conquer all or is she trapped?

I was hoping for a little more focus on the romance. Also Ariadne is telling us her story, meanwhile most of the book is other characters telling her their story.
