I've been reading this while sat in a room full of middle schoolers watching the same first 40 minutes of how to train your dragon so I'm definitely breezing through this book a little more than usual, but I'm still enjoying it.

Not even 30 pages in and they hit me with: "She knew that she could be a good soldier. Perhaps that was the same thing as being a good daughter." Like goddamn!!! Ouch!!! Right in the gut!!!
