Enjoying again. Although I’m still reeling with beauty from the Last Unicorn.

I just realized how long it’s taking me to finish this book. It’s definitely leaps and bounds better than the last one, but I still have an underlying hatred and loathing and slight boredom from this series. Truly the Fool being in it is almost 75 percent of the reason I’m reading. I LOVE seeing him come out in little bits as Amber and seeing Amber’s character in general. Soo.. I like this book again. Even if the last chapter + the one I just read was unnecessarily traumatizing. I feel like there is a way to show and tell how horrible things happen in a way that is not graphic and uncaringly blunt and triggering. Yeah I hate him. Thoroughly. If he actually does that to him, I will utterly destroy this book. Robin Hobb will have taken it too far. For real. Like bro— WINTROW!!!??? With ETTA?!?!!, I’m literally losing my mind.

Ugh. I love this SO much better than Ship of Magic. Idk man I almost missed a great story because the beginning was full of lurches and wild bumps and awkward stops and blah blah blah. Not a great beginning. But a damn good middle is all I’m saying and HOPEFULLY!!!!!!!!!!! A GREAT ending.

So Captain Kennit…. I can’t decide if I like or hate him. He’s an incredibly wicked but also dynamic character, doing more good than he knows or completely understands himself, but then turns and shows complete ruthlessness to a point I can’t understand or approve of. All I can say is that he needs help. And MAJOR character development. Hopefully it will strap itself to him like his dang crutch.
