what the fuck is this random mafia storyline. smh

all this book is doing is pandering to romance readers. So preachy. Not to mention the internal story which is a bad acotar rip-off.

the whole "men aren't shit" tirade in the first 40 pages was really cringey and preachy. It is true but was not well written. instead of integrating it into the story and by showing it in actions. the author wrote it as the FMC's long ass monologue. Like man, I don't need a lecture in the first 10% of the book justifying the fmc's love for smutty romance books and fanfic.
