“When you look like I do you have to take what you can get.” I have felt the exact same way more times than I can count. Poor Jude.

Can I get my wheelchair? The fact that Jude has to ask Kaleb to get his own wheelchair is some wild work. A person with a disability shouldn’t be forced to ask to use their mobility aids.

When Kaleb looks at Jude’s wheelchair and Jude says it’s mine and Kaleb says back but why you can walk shows how Ill educated some people can be when it comes to disability and how far some parts of society still has yet to learn on the topic. That interaction left me baffled for a second.

All I have to say about chapter 3 part 3 is wow it was a log at at once but I guess this entire book is a lot.

“It’s impossible to explain to the healthy the logic of the sick”. As a disabled person myself this couldn’t be more accurate. I don’t understand why I sometimes can’t bring myself to get help when I need it most.

“The hardware’s part of making friends is keeping them”. That is so true

I could not have been anywhere near as polite as Jude when Mrs. Larry said Jude’s name was unusual and suggested changing it to Cody.
