remembering mr collins is canonically tall 😭

all the movie adaptations gloss over darcy’s insult to lizzie by making it where he doesn’t know she could hear him, but it’s so much more brutal in the book bc he fully TURNS AROUND, makes EYE CONTACT with her, and then says she’s “TOLERABLE, BUT NOT HANDSOME ENOUGH TO TEMPT ME.” sir.
