Guys I’ve learned SO many words since starting this book. Like I know what the word “frieze” means

… what does that mean?? What’s “it”? Was Deditia the capital of Caten? Or the world? Or did Deditia used to be the capital of the world? Prob the last one right?

Also this Ulciscor dude is giving off Dumbledore Han Solo energy and I don’t know if that’s a good thing

He has a bit of a strange writing style tho I will say. Like it’s def on purpose but sometimes he’ll have a paragraph of sentences that are all like similar in structure like the whole paragraph is a list. It’s not bad necessarily but I have to reread it a couple times to actually comprehend the meaning

My educated guess is it’s some type of torture device thing that saps all your energy. But like saying it would kill you and everyone ceding to you if you touch it is veryyy suspicious. (Also do I even know what ceding means? Idk)
