This is horrendous. I don’t think I could fit everything into this update.

- Cristiano is worse than suspected
- thinking of naming the baby “Jamala” is terrible
- April is annoying
- Fenix???? I mean I guess

I just need this to be over. I feel like the author tried to write complex characters but they’re all just caricatures of complex characters. I don’t like them and I don’t want to root for them but I’m also not interested in anything going on in their lives

Why are we constantly referring to characters by their first and last name? I know who they are halfway through the book without needing that. Also if I have to read “baby cousin” one more time I will rip the pages out.
Cristiano is just as terrible as everyone else. Jamaal seems like the only normal person I hope he actually stays away

Really not a fan of whatever is happening here. Also the random cuts to the dog’s point of view kept pulling me out of the story and I hated that

I hate the writing so much. “Hyacinth clocked the timing of his message”. Okay but is Hyacinth using terms like “clocked”? I hate that the narrator has a weird zillennial voice. I still don’t like anyone, even the ones we’re supposed to like. Really need to finish this before the year ends but struggling to find motivation

Really not a fan of the writing style.

- “wayward sat shotgun.” - Obviously he did because it was Jamaal’s car that they got into. That extra detail was not necessary
- The descriptions of people’s body’s are super objectifying. I don’t know if it’s meant to be funny but I feel it’s just poor writing
