Percy’s inner monologue is hilarious. Also at one point he was about to fight a monster and instead of panicking when the monster says her name he goes “doesn’t that mean ant eater”

Rick riordan actually started this series as a bedtime story for his son who has adhd and is dyslexic I think that’s really sweet ngl he wanted his son to feel special I’m assuming Percy was based off his son but I’m not sure

Here is a little pre-read
So I’ve marked this book as read as I have read it. When I was 12. I read the first two and quite frankly I didn’t finish the series and since it’s been awhile I figured it’s about time I read some of the classics such as Percy Jackson (the classic part may be. It’s only a 5 book series but I’m going to be reading all of his series which are long so wish me luck
