the Celia and Evelyn ~scene~ was hard to read lol but I completely get how important it is to this whole story and to the time period

The first exciting turn of events!!! I am really enjoying the book and how different it is and how the abuse and the closeted identity was the reality for people in the 60s.

“People think intimacy is about sex. But intimacy is about truth. When you realize you can tell someone your truth, when you show yourself to them, when you stand in front of them bare and their response is ‘You’re safe with me’—that’s intimacy” (112).

⭐️⭐️⭐️ rn. turning the pages, enjoying it and how it’s different from things i have read before. but it’s not like amazinggg just good right now.

Great book, really enjoying how I can look up the places in Hollywood and they are real. Maybe historical fiction is going to be my shit.
