IDK how to explain it but I need more RH books like the “The Bonds That Tie” series by J. Bree. Dominant men of different personalities who prefer alone time with the FMC but don’t mind the occasional threesome. The RH genre is starting to feel like degradation disguised as worship when the FMC’s are really just getting 🚂 😭

No I get it & fully agree! Like you said, RH is relationships with multiple men who know about each other. I think the authors don’t know how to write “equal” relationships. They’re so concerned about no one being left out that they push everyone together. And to make sure everyone “gets theirs” they sprinkle in some MM.
I truly feel that the only time a threesome or more is acceptable, at this point of exhaustion, is if there’s a “heat” or on very rare occasions.
The authors need to get over the need for a specific word count and add in more moments between the FMC and her men to account for “equality”.
I believe you didn’t like the series but “Sanctuary” by S.M. Oliver and some of Erin Flynn’s series address the situations really well.
Sanctuary gives you quality time with the men and Erin Flynn’s series are normally “proper” RH without the group relationship aspect. She properly communicates between her characters well.
I read Sanctuary in 2022 in my hospital bed hah goodtimes.... It's what got me into post apocalyptic reads. I quite enjoyed it. I've probably read Flynn as well.
I'm all for being inclusive but it would literally take an author 2 seconds to give us heads up. But like the trigger warnings lately we are being directed to websites. I've probably skipped out on good reads because of it.
I read fast but I'm weary of anything over 500 pages. When I start reading descriptions about walls and bathrooms my eyes glaze over lol
I don't know what you celebrate but Merry Christmas to you and yours.

For me lately it's the focus on MM it's like the heroine is a "oh yeah her...."
Just wish it was pointed out in the blurb. We can all decide what we want to read.
I also think authors are forgetting what RH is, It's not the MMCs competing, it's also not picking a favourite.
The target audience is women but lately I'm even questioning that. There is so much hate against women...
Okay I'm ranting will stop lol
