Idk if it’s the translation, but the author constantly references sacrifices that are made by humans to appease gods. Comes off as repetitive but I guess that’s how the Greeks roll

Odysseys gets rocked by waves after leaving calypso

Gods have interest in him getting home but they’re not making it easy

Zeus seems empathetic to the cause but is also angry at O for some reason

Telamachus meets Nelihaus who has more info on his dad. They flashback to a conversation nelihaus had with a sea god, not posiedon.
