Finally continuing after two years and remembering a lot of why I stopped beyond life getting crazy. This book is very cyclical and full of potential but hurts me in that it never answers my questions of WHY in this world and just gets depressing instead. Also, we all know I hate books with affairs most of the time

Yes I believe that a lot of commentary could have been successfully executed from R’s perspective regarding trying to save someone from oppression and continuously failing and also trying to save someone who is losing all their memory

I feel like this book needs R’s perspective, especially as we approach the end more and more. The narrator is losing too much to continue to contribute meaningfully

The plot holes of them being able to remember certain things that disappeared and when also bothers me.

The question of why bothers me excessively with this book. Why are things disappearing? Why are people forgetting? Why do some not forget? Why does this vague government seem to exist solely to enforce the forgetting and why does they care so much when people don’t? It makes sense if you’re approaching it from a sole perspective of building commentary but not within the world
