This is very run-of-the-mill. I have no idea why this has so much buzz. It just sounds like someone who loves architecture and religion. Wanted to make millions of dollars by turning his hobby into a novel. Otherwise it just seems like a pretty route mystery story. The characters are good! The dialogue is good! I don’t think anything unique is happening here.
