Can't help but feel a bit of fetishization and Eat Pray Love sentiments in this.

There's a chapter where she is having matcha with a Buddhist monk and is asking him for advice... really outta touch.

The way the author refers to farmers she works with as "my farmer" rubs me the wrong way. I work with farmers, and would never speak of them like that, as if they are your employees rather than business partners.

Was enjoying this but then she just humble bragging that she's the British military's tea plug...
