I don’t know exactly how to explain Leigh’s writing but it’s like she just writes whatever the fuck she wants without taking into account the character’s picture she paints originally and/or the context of the book. Like sure, let’s make highschool/college kids sound like jaded edgy hitmen in their 40s or something, you know? Kinda like Rina Kent.
And sadly, I just don’t buy it most of the time.
