I am astounded that Caro has managed to so thoroughly invest me into the subtleties of early 1900s New York beaurocracy with his writing, such that I find myself itching to race through another 250 pages — and the rest of the book — as soon as I can. Robert Moses is far more interesting of a man than it initially seems…
