Say what you will about Bible bashing Beth but damn, that girl was a good friend. As conflicting as it is for what she did, Beth is a good friend. Ham admits his fear and guilt as a butcher and his feelings for Kate, while the priest -married to Hams sister- confesses to lusting after his neighbor’s wife. The sheep spy on them and flee, concluding that humans r easily frightened and ruled by their guilt.

Georges Sheep have now realized that Gabriel is raising his she to kill them for meat. Now that she are frightened and are trying to plan and escape from Gabriel. Othello and Zorra go to Melmoth to ask him if he can help all the sheep escape, but he sees this as unrealiastic and says it might work better to scare Gabriel so he doesn’t fatten them up and kill them.

Melmoth tells the story of what happened the night Ham the Butcher, and George chased after him. They found a dead body, McCarthy‘s body. They come to the realization that some villagers murdered him and they’ve come up with a plan to out the murderers using Hams CCTV. Melmoth reaffirm lamb on what she saw that night George was killed. Gabriel’s sheep try to eat George’s place bare but stop. Thanx to Lane?

Melmoth returns to the flock and Ritchfield knew that he had been back for a few days which is why he wouldn’t let the sheep Grace too early so they won’t run into him. Othello knows Melmoth from their time in the Circus and seems to know a darker side of him. Even Rithcfield says there nothing Melmoth won’t do.

Othello went into the Church. God a.k.a. the priest saw Ham, the butcher, who’s in a wheelchair. He sensed that the Butcher and God don’t get along, and God is scared of the butcher. Othello goes into the confessional box and God seems to confess sins to Othello. Othello finds a lot of similarities between the Church and the circus and he doesn’t like either the chapter ends in a dreamy, confusing gaze.

The strange woman’s name is Rebecca. Rebecca and Beth meet at Beth’s house to talk about George and the village. Othello, Mople, and Maple are listening by the window. Beth warns Rebecca of Ham - the butcher but also tells her that if she wants to know more he will know a lot more. Beth mentions how the butcher is pious and has a CCTV in his shop. 3 sheep are wondering why kids called George Goblin King?
