im listening to the audiobook and its driving me crazy because im noticing so many things on this reread and i can't annotate like i want to. just some really delightful foreshadowing!! richard talking abt how he would have joined a cult in california- then does just that in hampden. julian saying his students are boring bc he knows exactly what they will do- he's culpable. his influence over henry is v scary, too!!
