I thought of another thing I distaste in this book - The definition of realtime control. For me, realtime control is allowing input in a realtime environment, very simple. For the author it's about the cycles of control.
Another thing is the sheer amount of needless information thrown in your face. It also assumes, by the style of writing, that the reader never played a video game in their life.

This book is so verbose and off point it is somewhat annoying.
Example, the author talks about the physical boundaries of different input devices in too much detail (we all understand how a pc mouse works) but then lacks analysis on why truly a mouse feels so much different than a joystick. Goes for dry boring explanations that are pseudo academic rather than getting to the damn point.

This book seems so off topic I sometimes wonder if it has anything to do with game feel. So far, it can be summarized to 10 pages.

The author has good intentions and presents some nice allegories.
The diagrams are mostly meaningless and don't convey the point, probably because the point is not solid enough to begin with.
