This is a slow burner. Beautifully written - I even discovered various words I didn’t know (ahem). It will take some time to finish this massive book at over 700 pages. Luckily… One disadvantage: carrying this in hand luggage is a pain because of its weight. Would authors think about that, at all? At any rate: very smug to be reading from les Éditions de minuit, a badge of honour!
